Words of Celebration

I paint vibrant, colourful and abstract nudes using a selection of non-typical colours to capture the magnificence of the female form, in all of its forms.

I believe that every body is beautiful and deserves to be celebrated. Each body is a unique work of art and all shapes and sizes are welcomed here - boobs and bums are encouraged! 

Bespoke nude portraits are a beautiful and way of paying tribute to your body. They can be empowering, sensual, capture a moment in your life (like pregnancy, self confidence, post surgery etc) or simply be a celebration of your unique physical form.

"I saw Josie’s work on Instagram and instantly loved it. I thought her portraits were so powerful: her subjects looked beautiful, confident, empowered and fierce.

As a present from ‘me to me’ I commissioned a self portrait as a I wanted a visual reminder to look to in those (frequent) times when we women forget what super-heroes we actually are.

Josie came to my home, helped me find my ‘rock star’ pose and took photos to work from. I felt comfortable being naked around her, her warmth and enthusiasm translated into instant trust and I knew that she was going to create something wonderful. 

I now have my ‘reminder on my bedroom wall, and I absolutely LOVE IT!"

“After seeing Josie’s work online and being so impressed with her nude portraits, we contemplated what was for us, a brave decision of commissioning Josie, it was for a Christmas present for my partner. 

The whole process was really straightforward and we instantly felt at ease and relaxed as Josie talked us through the stages involved, and various options available. 

We sent Josie a few pictures (securely) to choose from. The communication was great and Josie kept me up to date with how things were progressing. 

I think it’s fair to say that we had pretty high expectations of what Josie was capable of, but the end product far exceeded what we thought  possible, Josie had managed to perfectly capture the form and the colour palate used was amazing.
